You know the feeling when you’ve aced something or you just know that you’ve nailed something, although you don’t know how you know but you just know it?

Well, last night was a bit like that.

I really had a lot of fun at the performance, and I had the same rush at the end that I always feel when I know something turned out right.

I think everyone performed really well, including Terence Jason Lee, who unexpectedly came down to watch us, because we unexpectedly managed to encourage him to help us with the percussion in the end.

Sadly, we didn’t manage to take any photos/videos of the gig - we forgot to even ask Wei Man, whom we met there by coincidence, to help us - and we were joking that we either need a band manager a la Reverie or future Spouses and Partners (SAPs for gender neutrality) a la The Dubious Brothers to help us with the media stuff.

But we still managed to get some photos in before and after the event, so here they are:

Lishi Lee.

Yin Qi Lee.

Yes, we did go, dammit!

CJ’s long-lost triplet.

Lishi and Jason, acting out the roles of the couple that just quarrelled.

From L-R: Rachel Tan Wei Shur, CJ and Yin Qi.

More shots here. Oh and last but not least, a video too:

Lyrics, Cut and Paste 7:20 am

You’ll remember me when the west wind moves
Upon the fields of barley
You’ll forget the sun in his jealous sky
As we walk in fields of gold

So she took her love for to gaze awhile
Upon the fields of barley
In his arms she fell as her hair came down
Among the fields of gold

Will you stay with me, will you be my love
Among the fields of barley?
We’ll forget the sun in his jealous sky
As we lie in fields of gold

See the west wind move like a lover so
Upon the fields of barley
Feel her body rise when you kiss her mouth
Among the fields of gold

I never made promises lightly
And there have been some that I’ve broken
But I swear in the days still left
We’ll walk in fields of gold

Many years have passed since those summer days
Among the fields of barley
See the children run as the sun goes down
Among the fields of gold

You’ll remember me when the west wind moves
Upon the fields of barley
You can tell the sun in his jealous sky
When we walked in fields of gold

POSTSCRIPT: Eh sorry to whoever it is whose photos I koped for this collage thingy. When I saw the narrative of your photos it immediately reminded me of the song. If you don’t like it, let me know and I’ll take it down.
