“You know,” I said, “I realised that with sushi, you can’t be afraid to press down hard.”

My sister looked up from where she was lolling on the couch, before replying, “That’s the same with chicks, yo’.”

If everything is art, and everything is text, then today was a day that made me feel that all the holidays in the world cannot compare to the simple pleasures of doing absolutely nothing at home.

Well, not quite.

I woke up early today and had a Father’s Day breakfast at the market with my family, before heading home to make sushi for lunch.

I’ve never made sushi before so I learnt by way of how people learn about life in our modern age - YouTube.

But it wasn’t just the sushi that made me happy. I think it was the process and the conversations I had with my family that added to the delight of eating.

I think I’ve been away from home for too long and I wish I could stay longer, sometimes.

I’ll be posting a bit more, in the next few days, and there are more exciting things to come, so stay tuned to this space, ladies and gents.

Just- don’t- e-mail me for now. Okay lah, you can e-mail me in like, say, three days time?

I have an abundance of e-mail and things to do at the moment, so if anything, just call me!
